| Introduction | I am an historian of ancient Rome who lives in the American Midwest. My first novel, The Sign of the Sibyl, is the first part of a four-book series, all of which are set in a parallel world connected by magic to our own Mediterranean. Besides Tolkien, I particularly admire Lewis's Space Trilogy, Guy Gavriel Kay's Sarantium novels, and Ann Lawrence's Between the Forest and the Hills. |
