| Introduction | Since I’m no longer married, I’m free to live where and how I choose. I chose to live in a 100-year old farm house in northern Illinois My house is on a hill overlooking a sloping pasture and farther down a year-round creek. I love it. I’ve been married, and I’ve been single. Single is best. When I was married, I didn’t work. I showed my quarter horses in AQHA western pleasure and halter classes and my dogs in AKC obedience. I spent a lot of time just trail riding with friends. No time for those leisurely pursuits anymore. I miss them. Being single isn’t always easy but it is always easier. Anyway that has been my experience. Compromise isn’t one of my strengths. I work as an accountant. I would like to be an author. I’m interested in so many things; photography, gardening, wild birds, my pets, genealogy, cooking, antique furniture, and on and on. Books are a passion. Not great literature, not even best sellers…mostly mystery novels. The restoration of wetlands and wildlife habitat is important to me. Conservation is important to me. I try to garden organically. |
