| Introduction | I have been dealing with back pain since I was 14 years old. Diagnosed at 19 with advanced degenerative disc disease. Ruptured L3-4,L4-5 at 21. MD wanted to perform a 2 level fusion. I refused that sentence. At 27, re-ruptured L3-4, L4-5. Had a 2 level laminectomy, 1 level discectomy in 1998. Have had constant daily pain ever since with the intensity getting steadily worse over the past 5 years. On August 1, 2011...felt a "pop" in my lower spine. MRI results revealed severe herniation at L2-3 with DDD, and end stage DDD at L3-4, L4-5 with L4-5 being bone on bone. Decision was made...3 level M-6 ADR with Dr. Clavel on November 9, 2011. |
