Introduction	I am an uprooted Southerner, writing and living in New York City. I have written for the Huffington Post, Chaos magazine, Duo Dishes, Demockracy.com, and various other publications. Currently, I review books for Publishers Weekly and am working on a novel, and earning my Masters in Religion and the Arts from Yale University. I am always interested in food and fashion. Right now, I am on the quest for the perfect biscuit, fish tacos, and the appropriate place to wear boat shoes in New York City. Of course, these nagging infatuations have little to do with my other new interest—the literature, peoples, and cultures in the Middle East—but stay tuned for overlap.
