IntroductionI went to work at the Moccasin Bend Waste Water Treatment Plant in 1971. The plantis owned and operated by the City of Chattanooga in Tennessee. I worked my way up from a labor to Plant Operation Supervisor. At the beginning of my employment the plant capacity was 42 MGD. When I retired it had grown to a treating capacity of 240 MGD. I write stories, poems, and make videos about the waste water plant operators. I have submitted my articles to national waste water magazines without success. One rejection, said the articles about the grunts on the front line didn’t fit their criteria, and another said the articles are interesting, but they don’t have the space to print them. So I decided to create a blog to make my stories and poems and videos available to other waste water plant operators and the public.
