Introduction | I grew up in the Adirondacks, where I could walk to three different lakes to swim. I miss that. I studied creative writing in college, but I knew writing fiction wouldn't pay my bills. So I worked my butt off to become a journalist. I met my husband at the newspaper and I loved my job, but I gave it up 11 years later when our son was born, figuring the shift to motherhood was the right time to return to my real passion: fiction. So, between stints of teaching and freelancing, I wrote a couple novels and gave birth to our daughter. Life was good as I neared my 40th birthday. We had the perfect family and I was writing again. Then I discovered I was pregnant. We had recovered from the shock by the time we went to my 20-week ultrasound. But we were stunned once again when we saw two little heads. For the next few hours, all I could do was laugh and cry. Life has not been the same since. Note: This blog has now become a book available from Amazon and Barnes & Noble, Raising Identical Twins: The Unique Challenges and Joys of the Early Years. |
Interests | Most of my time is occupied by our family these days, but when I get a few minutes, I like to run, hike, write and read. I also teach English part time at Alfred University. |
