Introduction I'm a mid-20s PhD student in the sciences who likes to indulge my creative side with culinary experimentation! When I was little, I hated cooking. My mom tried to get me to help make dinner but I wanted no part of the kitchen. Then I went to college, that place where parents no longer are and you have to feed yourself. Sure, there are dining halls and meal plans, but that only lasts a little while. Eventually I got tired of the same pizza, subs and fast food week after week. I started small, making ramen in my dorm room microwave. Then I got more daring, making the noodles and mixing in tuna and cream of mushroom soup for a poor person version of tuna noodle casserole. When I moved into my first apartment, gastronomic curiosity overtook me, and I've been a foodie ever since! From my humble first apartment through an attic, a garage, a townhome, and a friend's basement, I find ways to entertain my taste buds on a budget. I hope you can relate, and enjoy my simple experiments gone right.
