Introduction	Shay Powell writes this blog as designed for use as a course requirement for a Texas Government class. My views are my own. They've been sculpted, molded, tainted, scarred, developed and atrophied into their current state from a life lived thoroughly on both sides of a twenty-dollar bill and a desire to have government, in all its forms, impact my life as little as possible. I tend to be conservative, but surprise myself sometimes by agreeing with a liberal viewpoint on certain issues. Moderate isn't the right term for me, because that would feel like a cop out, especially when I am an unabashed Ronald Reagan fan. I'm probably a libertarian in denial at the moment.
