About me

Introduction At age 11 I feel in love with the Galapagos Islands. I decided to become an ornithologist and one day become the director of the Charles Darwin Station. I started as a bird watcher in Ecuador working in the rainforest with research groups or as a guide. I got a BS in Biology from Davidson College spending as much time outside working with birds. I got a MS from the University of Massachusetts doing research on Darwin´s finches on the Galapagos Islands. For three years I lived part time on the Galapagos Islands on Santa Cruz. I lived for almost three years on Hawaii working to protect the native birds from diseases such as Avian Influenza and West NIle Virus. I took a year sabbatical to travel the world and volunteer along the way. India, England, Galapagos, Chile, Guyana, Italy, Germany, France, and Spain. And now I am looking for my next adventure!
