Introduction Luke is a professional distance runner representing adidas as well as a Ph.D. student in accounting at The Pennsylvania State University. His competitive specialty is the 3000m Steeplechase, in which he competed at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials. He also competed in the 2004 Olympic Trials in the 5000m. He is self-coached and has experience coaching athletes at every level from middle school to the professional level, after coaching at the University of Notre Dame from 2006-2008. Luke is a 2002 graduate of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He also earned a Master of Science in Accountancy (tax concentration) from Notre Dame in 2003 and has passed the C.P.A. Exam. Luke is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach. His wife, Georganne (nee Way) is a national-level middle distance runner with a best 800m time of 2:05.
