| Introduction | Hello. This blog is to help rekindle my repressed love of writing. I've been through so many changes in recent years, I feel I'm a totally different person and yet somehow more myself than ever. Here are some basics about this version me.
I'm an ex-Mormon. My faith crisis and ultimate exodus from the church were both terribly devastating and incredibly freeing. I'd consider myself agnostic now. Politically speaking, I'd say I'm a Leftist more than anything else. Social justice is important to me. Black Lives Matter. Love is love. Trans rights are human rights. Disability is not a dirty word. No human being is illegal. I'm neurodivergent (mental illness & neurodevelopmental disorder). I definitely have C-PTSD and ADHD, possibly some other things too. My mental health history is a complicated 20 year-long saga. I've been in theatre all my life. I'd mostly consider myself a director, stage manager, & LX tech. I know a decent amount about film, and I own my own equipment. I love media theory/criticism, and I'm a huge history buff and travel junkie. I also like to paint, sing, and play viola. |
