| Introduction | As an exiled Englishman in Australia, I turn my mind to a number of things from natural history to fashion, from architecture to social media. I was bought up in Yorkshire in the 70’s and 80’s reading the Harvard Business Review and Mens Vogue and as I now act as an "advisor" to private equity and blue chip clients, I profess to having a somewhat thin veneer of knowledge across a broad range of topics – which makes me a very tedious dinner party guest. |
| Interests | The general musing of a curious mind on anything and everything, everywhere. However, I do spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about what I’d like to wear – which is ironic, as 5 days a week I wear a suit, shirt and tie, and the other 2 days I’m usually in a t-shirt lycra (I'm a failed rower), shorts and flip-flops (I refuse to call them thongs). Let’s just say given my upbringing I’m particular about what shirt I wear, how it is constructed, etc. From what shirt stiffners should be made from, to how to fold a pocket square, to why any gentlemen whould only want steel heel tips in work shoes, to the advantages of kangaroo leather over cow hide, etc. Sometimes I think about other things too... mostly cars and football. |
