| Introduction | Hello! My name is Nicki Ruthaivilavan (ROO - TIE - VILLA - VAN, or Ruthai for short) and I'm a third grade teacher here at SIS. This is my first year at SIS. Prior to moving to China, I taught 2nd grade for 6 years in Iowa in the States. I'm originally from Illinois, and I graduated from the University of Iowa with my B.A. in elementary education with endorsements in reading and language arts. I am currently working on my master's degree in School Library Studies at University of Northern Iowa. My husband, Marty, is also a teacher with SIS. We have a 2 year old daughter named Everleigh. |
