| Introduction | Welcome to my blog. I've been an environmental campaigner for most of my life and a seamstress for even longer, creating dolls clothes from an early age. I trained originally as a scientist and then as an artist and designer. My environmental work - which has involved numerous expeditions, sailing, canoeing, walking, living in rainforest - has been focused on saving rivers from damming, sea life from plastic pollution and sonar, and clothing from landfill. I use a wide range of techniques in my work from microscopy and photography to the creation of plastic textiles, dressmaking and embroidery. |
