Introduction I am a British woman living in South Sudan. In 2013 I came to Nimule in South Sudan as a volunteer teacher at a local orphanage. In 2015 I co-founded a school for the most marginalised children in Nimule, those from families with HIV, disabilities and orphans. My partners are two local organisations. Since 2018 I have been assisting several deaf children to go to Uganda for schooling as there are no facilities available for them locally. I fundraise through a charity called Opportunity through Education for funds for the school and also for sponsorship for the deaf children. In 2019 the Catholic Diocese of Torit invited me to become a lay missionary under their auspices. I use this blog to create interest in the lives of the children I am trying to help and to create awareness of my work.
