| Introduction | I am a Roman Catholic lay hermitess and a Benedictine Oblate. I have taken vows of Solitude, Silence, and Simplicity. I chose the name Felicity because it means "happiness." I moved from Maryland, USA, to Spain in February, 2022, and then France in January, 2023. The shape of my vocation has necessarily evolved, but what remains is this great love affair with God, who is my All in all. A note on gender-inclusive language: I refer to God as "He," mostly, because I mostly relate to God as the love of my life. But sometimes She is my Mother, or the archetype to which I strive to conform my (female) self. God is neither male nor female, and S/He is both. Don't let the pronouns trip you up. Peace |
