| Introduction | Bill is a long-time SP modeler and fan. His earliest memories of railroading were of waiting at Albany, Oregon, for SP#10, the northbound Shasta Daylight, to arrive bearing his grandparents. Though his vocation turned to aviation, railroading was in his blood, providing a lifetime interest. Bill retired from a career as a research engineer for NASA, where he helped develop tiltrotor aircraft operating proceedures. |
