Please describe how you could take the peel off an apple all in one go:
Bring a pot of water to the boil. Prepare a bowl of ice cold water on the side. Take an apple without the stem and drop into the boiling water for 15 seconds. Pull out with a spoon, drop into the icy water for another 15 seconds. Take out the apple and with a knife, cut a line around the apple. Grap the apple on either side of the incision and pull the skin. Voila! The magic of blanching!
