About me

Introduction	We are a family of 5 living in suburban Maryland in a neighborhood where the kids go out to play and you stand on your porch to call them home at sunset, where folks socialize in their front yards rather than hang out in their back yards, where we have a kickball court painted on the street & a tendency toward spontaneous block parties...in a neighborhood with uninterrupted sidewalks perfect for bike riding and trick-or-treating and in a community with water access. We are so happy our kids are growing up here (even though in order to be here it means no 'extras' or vacations for, like, 20 years lol). We share our home with 3 rescue dogs (Bonnie- OldStyle English Bulldogge; Otis- French Bulldog-Bullmastiff mix; Rosie- Boston Terrier mix), the leopard geckos Nutella and Snow, the hermit crabs named Hermit Crab (C), Hercules (A), Cherry (C), & Flower (Z), plus a 55-gallon fish tank as well as 3 baby betta fish the children are raising: Poseidon (A), Percy Jackson (C), & Chrysanthemum (Z). As well, at any given moment there is an assortment of interlopers being cared for (e.g., spiders, praying mantises, worms, butterflies). It's an adventure every day.
