| Introduction |
We are a group of Guatemalans in the Waterloo region of Ontario, Canada. By promoting Guatemalan culture we contribute to enrich regional and national multiculturalism in Canada. The Guatemala Group of Waterloo Region was founded in 2007 after the tour to Ontatio of the Marimba “Ensemble of the Guatemala Fine Arts Institute”. The marimba's tour created a momentum in the local Guatemalan community to form an organization that through the arts and culture keeps alive the traditions and culture of the Mayan. |
