Introduction When in high school I was pointed down the path of customer service within the hospitality industry and realized, I will only be happy being around other humans. Getting my first job at a fast food place, I was always greeting my customers at the drive through window with a smile and a welcoming voice. After 7 months of a job in this industry, my plan was to further my education in the hospitality industry. Instead of laying around and waiting until I turned 18 to start on a degree, I took the initiative to push myself to graduate a year and a half early, putting myself in place to be done with high school in three and a half years so that I could begin working on a bachelor’s degree—a degree that I will have finished by age 19. Focusing on hospitality, I work two jobs, not to support myself, but to show myself that all of my hard work will eventually make for a healthy and livable lifestyle. In my industry I learn new content every day that can help me improve myself in more than one way. As I take classes to better myself in my industry, I learn more not only in the culinary industry, but the hospitality industry as a whole.
