Introduction I grew up in Spokane, Washington, but I have way too much of a wandering spirit and it wasn't long before I left. I earned my M.A. in Creative Writing from FSU in 2003, where I worked under Pulitzer-winner Robert Olen Butler. Favorite Movies Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Matrix (number ONE only!), Koyaanisqatsi, Aliens, Blade Runner, The Road Warrior, The Road Warrior, The Abyss, The Rocketeer, Die Hard.
Favorite Music Reggae, Dancehall, (Bob Marley & the Wailers, Beres Hammond, Gregory Isaacs, Capleton, Lady Saw, Mighty Sparrow, Sizzla, etc. etc.); Hawaiian Contemporary and Jawaiian (`Ekolu, the `Opihi Pickers, Fiji, Hapa, Ho`onu`a, Bruddah Iz, Keahiwai, Keali`i Reichel, O-Shen, Robi Kahakalau, Three Plus, etc.); 80s music (won't list any of these, other than to say I love New Wave and all that entails); I also love an assortment of oddities, like the Cocteau Twins, Ambient music, and a lot of R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap from the EARLY 90s...
