| Introduction | I am a former U.S. Marine and consequently I have a love for weapons. I have run outdoor laser tag games, and paintball and airsoft. I like each type of game, although I love the fact that airsoft tends to be as realistic as possible. I went in the Marine Corps and asked for the infantry. Guess what? They had an opening for that Specialty. I was stationed in Hawaii for 4 years and then decided to move into Marine Security Forces. I got to go to this great 6 week security course where we trained on a special shotgun and pistol combat course. My posting after this school was to Bahrain, which is right next to Saudi Arabia. Our mission there was fairly important as this was right after the Khobar Towers bombing and the US missile strike against targets in Africa and Sudan. The next posting I asked for was for a unit called CBIRF. This stands for Chemical Biological Incident Response Force. I was in the security element and we did both infantry training and search and rescue and CBIRF training. This station was at Camp Lejeune and I was there for the last year of my enlistment. |
