| Introduction | My daughter gave me the name "The Accidental Quilter". I enrolled in a quilting class in 1982, I wanted to learn traditional hand quilting. Enjoyed the class, completed all my blocks, but it was not a craft I continued to pursue. My children were now in school, so I began a working career, and now had no time to hand quilt. End of that story!! So.......step ahead to 2010, I retired. I was able to spend several weeks with my oldest daughter living in Florida. You may already know her as "Insomniac with a hook! The Insomniac is also a quilter, and she introduced me to machine quilting. I was hooked! Hence the accidental quilter was born. I am so happy she took the time to show me this wonderful craft. Now when I can't sleep at night, it is not because work is on my mind. I am planning quilt designs........ |
