Introduction	Kate Wood was born in Vancouver B.C. She has spent the majority of her life living on Vancouver Island. Before pursuing her post-secondary education, Wood travelled to southern Africa to work with animals and immerse herself in a new culture. Wood studied journalism at Vancouver Island University for one year before taking an opportunity to spend a summer in Haida Gwaii. She is presently living in Victoria, B.C. Attending Camosun College for digital production, writing and design. Wood’s future aspirations include professional journalism, photography, and owning at least one cow.
