Introduction My name is Paolo Coluzzi, I am Italian and I am at present an associate professor at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), where I teach Italian and sociolinguistics. Reading, writing, taichi, travelling and, last but not least, Buddhism have been my main interests for many years. Since I moved to Asia 14 years ago I have travelled extensively around this continent, particularly in South and Southeast Asia. As far as Buddhism is concerned, I have read extensively about this religion/philosophy, especially Theravada Buddhism, since I was 17 years old. It is particularly since I came to Asia, though, that I have started reading and practicing more assiduously, meditating, following Dharma talks given by renown monks and experts and joining a few mediation retreats. From this point of view Malaysia is an ideal country, as Buddhism is the second largest religion and opportunities to experience Buddhism in many different ways (and mostly in English) are plenty.
