| Introduction | Searching for my place in "Life, the Universe, and Everything" one day at a time. This has been my internet signature since I first found the internet in the late 80s. Since then who I am and where I belong has shifted politically, spiritually, and in many other ways. I have recently started the process of changing my username on the internet. My old user name, Evenstar, used to be an obscure reference from Tolkien (it's only mentioned once), but since its repeated use in the recent Peter Jackson movies it is not so obscure anymore. So I decided insteadto go by the name Vaesse. I chose this name by doing a translation of my real first name into Quenya (Tolkien Elvish). I believe the proper spelling of that translation is actually "Veasse". But I like Vaesse better, so that's the name I decided on. If anyone else starts using THIS name, I'll scream! |
