| Introduction | I am not a professional writer. Do not expect eloquence or artistry. Maybe not even originality, and definitely not a masterpiece. What you will find is a human being navigating the messy world of love, affairs, and betrayal, almost word for word as it happened. Then the best part of the story, how I regained myself and my footing, to live again. I used to think this was a story about him and I, and how we brought out the best, and worst in one another, and a story about the one person that I could bare myself to, who took the time to understand me and gave me permission to be authentic and transparent. About the only person I ever believed believed in me. And how that one person caused me more pain then I thought possible to survive. But it’s not, it’s a story about me, and why I made the choices I made, for the better, or for the worse, and about how I figured out how the outcome never mattered, it was only choosing for myself that actually mattered.
