Introduction I am a first year Master’s of Divinity student at McCormick Theological Seminary who is seeking ordination in the Presbyterian Church USA. This blog was born out of a class project in my class, “Reading the Bible from Cultural Spaces,” where the goal of the class was to, “explore the difference that ‘culture’ makes in reading and interpreting the Bible.” My own cultural framework can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Uuel6JbVY-wXOJRjvUf8ynlrsFareWt-QbUjQBvGjc4/edit?hl=en&authkey=CJDDn6oE. But in this blog, I am exploring various cultural viewpoints. In no way am I attempting to speak for these various social locations, but hope that by showcasing various art forms, all are invited into deeper conversations with the text itself and also our own mode of cultural interpretation. I hope you will join me on this Lenten journey and add your own interpretation to the texts! I look forward to expanding the conversation...
