| Introduction | ILLUSTRATIONS/ CHARACTERS/ SCREEN PRINTED POSTERS/ T SHIRTS/ CARDS / GOODIES / LIMITED EDITIONS The world of POPCORNY is the brainchild of printmaker/illustrator Katie Mac, who was strongly influenced by the packaging graphics and character brands from a childhood in the far east and the middle east. Based in the UK now, Popcorny products include limited edition silkscreen printed artwork on high quality papers, canvases, cotton bags and tea towels, unique stationary in the form of mini screen-printed notebook sets, cushions and humerous ‘trinket’ jewellery. The art features a ‘pleasantly polluted’ land entrenched in packaging logos, fast food, electrified pylons, advertising hoardings, 'inspirational' and often tongue in cheek mantras but always with a big emphasis on bold and retro colours.
