Introduction	Growing up with a special needs brother ignited my passion for making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Since I can remember, for my family and I, the outdoors has been more than a playground —it's been a way of life. From sailing in the summer to skiing in the winter, and hiking in the fall, nature has always been our escape. My brother loves the outdoors, it provides him sensory relief and relaxation that is unparalleled, yet his mobility issues limit his ability to traverse long distances. As he became older, hiking even simple nature preserve trails was becoming harder and more dangerous. The realization that traditional means of hiking were often inaccessible to my brother led to the Juria project. I will start simple - by modifying his favorite offroad stroller and making it electric but I hope that this blog brings attention to and inspires us to create a mode of transportation that empowers individuals with mobility challenges to explore the great outdoors without constraints.
