Introduction I've been flying since 1994, working as a professional pilot since 2001, and was hired at my dream job flying for a major airline in 2014. In between I built my flying experience through stints as a flight instructor, "freight dog," and airline pilot in both turboprops and jets at two regional airlines. I've written this blog since 2005 (formerly "Blogging at FL250"), detailing what it's like to be a young pilot working one's way up through the aviation world, and also commenting on developments in the aviation industry as a whole. In 2013, I also started writing for Flying Magazine, where I currently write the monthly "Taking Wing" column. Besides aviation topics, my posts here occasionally include other interests of mine, which include travel, motorcycling, GA flying, & sailing.
