| Introduction | I’m a writer and people developer. I love learning - it constantly challenges and expands my thinking. The worst part of my work is the travelling – interminable journeys, monotonous hotels, useless trouser presses and lousy service. The most valuable thing I’ve learned is that if someone says they want something urgently it’s hardly ever true. They really just want your attention. Recently I’ve become a keen cyclist. I cycle locally and use trains for longer journeys. I sold my car and hire one when I need to – which, I have discovered, is hardly ever. When I’m at home I love to cook – the Ready, Steady, Cook approach. Give me a few ingredients and I’ll be able to turn out something good to eat. Every so often I think about entering Come Dine with Me – until I consider the utter mortification of a camera crew rooting through your wardrobe. |
