Introduction I am lucky to be married to a great woman I don't deserve, and I am the proud father of two fantastic teenaged sons. I am a high tech executive and work in California's Silicon Valley. I have had the privilege throughout my career to help make possible products that most of you have probably used. I must say that I have benefited in my career as much from luck and being in the right place at the right time as I have from hard work. I am fortunate to live in the rural mountains between San Jose and Santa Cruz, so while at the end of the day everyone else fights traffic and deals with the noise of their neighbors, I go home to many acres of peaceful redwood forest. As a child I was a military brat - I probably did not appreciate it enough growing up, but now I can see that living around the US, Spain, and Italy has given me a truly unique background and experience. I have three wonderful siblings - a sister and two brothers - each of whom I love more than they could imagine and I regret having moved away and grown apart from them. I am lucky to still have my father alive. My mother, to whom I owe so very much, went on ahead of us to prepare the way.
Interests Asronomy, hiking, weight training, current events, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, cll
Favorite Movies Funny movies, Classic movies, Action movies, Chick flicks, my favorites - I cry every time I watch the end of Notting Hill :-)
Favorite Music Country, (Not the old twangy stuff, though. Sorry!)
Favorite Books History books, economics books, really any books that explore human behavior. If I could only choose the books of one author to be stranded with on a desert island, it would be the books of Malcolm Gladwell (Outliers, Tipping Point, Blink...).
