| Introduction | My name is Patricia Youngquist, aka The Last Leaf Gardener. I am writer, urban gardener and visual artist living in New York City. I’ve combined my passions and expertise in writing, gardening, education, and art by creating engaging posts (which include interesting images) on Blogger as well as on tumblr. Additionally, I’ve produced narrative short films that literally give voice to the garden, allowing the 80+ flora (herbs, salad greens, plants, shrubs, trees, flowers, ornamental grasses, succulents and vines) which I grow in my garden, to speak for themselves. Moreover, I have dedicated a number of “segments” in all of the aforementioned venues, to the array of wild birds (bluejays, cardinals, chickadees, common grackles, dark-eyed juncoes, downy woodpeckers, house finches, mourning doves, rose-breasted grosbeaks, tufted titmouses, and white-breasted sparrows) that visit my garden. As for the "products" that are available for purchase, I have a selection of mini movies, photos, books, greeting cards and comic strips, which are all based on the topics mentioned here. |
