Introduction	I was born Kyle Edward Mooney on November 14, 1983 A.D. My mother, a gifted singer, pianist, organist, music teacher and father - a linguistically inclined French professor, would mold the two pillars of my future - music and languages. My childhood is a blurry haze of laughter, warmth, wonder and saltwater. Looking back, I see thick fog, blue ocean, green, rugged hills and thick forest. I can smell the clean air, hear the fog horns, and even the distant sound of accordions and ugly sticks emanating from the kitchen of my grandmother's house in St. Mary's Bay. I like Nina Simone and Etta James a lot. I also like Biggie Smalls, Erykah Badu, Feist, Ray LaMontagne and a host of others. I gravitate towards anything that I consider soulful and honest, which is why I have always loved Mary J Blige. I love travel. My favorite cities are Barcelona, New York, Montreal, Paris and Amsterdam. My favorite culture is Italian. My favorite language is also Italian. My favorite place to be is the Cote D'Azur. I have many friends in this world and that is something that I used to take for granted. But I don't anymore.
