Introduction	Married for over 40 years I am having a wonderful semi-retirement with my best friend and partner in life. We are both teachers and learn from one another on a daily basis. Recent experiences include the marriage of our daughter in the USA, international teaching jobs in Kuwait, India, and now back in Canada for a new chapter in Northern Ontario.

Which do you prefer and why: whittling with soap or whistling with wood?

Soap is slippery and awkward to whittle. Whistling is more like me, so I would have to find a wooden flute and make noise.
