| Introduction | I would like to think of myself as Gloria Estefan's biggest fan in Africa. I have loved her music all, my life. I love her music; but not her right-wing views on Cuba! I work with Writing students at Rhodes (on secondment from Makerere University in Kampala), and I am attempting to complete a PhD in Media Studies (thesis: Community Media & Social Capital). I love writing. And in time, I will love blogging. For me, the blog is just a platform--not the be-all and end all. If you can't write, your blog will be just like an advert for a nice car: enjoyable, but easily forgotten. |
