| Introduction | I was born in the year of the '57 Chevy and that same year "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac was published. He did something special in that he took an ordinary life and turned it into a cultural revolution that still rattles the minds of people like me. A heightened sense of awareness coupled with his powers of description allowed him to do this. Now, whereas I am not setting out to start any sort of cultural revolution no matter how badly we could use one right now, I would like to look back one day and realize that I lived a life that was worth living. |
