| Introduction | Dr. Ashwini Shastri a scholar of Sanskrit, Hindi and Ayurveda, was born on 21st July 1965 in Delhi. Dr. Shastri, for about a decade, had been associated with the Dabur group as Chief Editor of Ayurveda “Ayurveda Vikas”. The world renowned writer Mr. Khushwant Singh in his famous weekly column 'With Malice Towards One And All....' has appreciated the efforts of Dr. Shastri for making this magazine modernized and redesigned to cater it to lay readers. This column appeared in National and International news papers on 5th December 1998. More than a dozen interviews and talks of Dr. Ashwini Shastri on different subjects have been telecast by All India Radio and Radio Mauritius. He also has been associated with the All India Radio and Doordarshan as a casual Sanskrit News Reader and Editor for more than ten years. He has edited some of the books like Nutan Hastakshar, Paro, Mahabharat Vimarsh, Yugdrashta, Chetna, Chikitsa Aalok, Atharva Vediya Prithivi Sukta and Anjaam-E-Daru. Some of his new books 'Prachin Bharat aur Chinees Yatree', 'Daivopakhyan Padya Sankalanam', 'Rochak Sanskrit Padyani' and 'Kashthaushadhi Sangrah' are awaiting publication. |
