| Introduction | BuDa is located in Honnavar in the Uttara Kannada region of Karnataka. Its vision is to emerge as a focal knowledge center for folk culture and heritage. We created a folklore research center with an extensive database on various tribes and indigenous communities thereby ensuring public access and awareness about folklore. It aimed to create a forum where the students could discuss and explore themselves such as cultural heritage, environment, sustainable living, craft and folk art and the state of indigenous communities. Buda initiates a travel based study on folk culture and environment. students learn about the different aspects of folk culture and its relation with the environment |
