Introduction Amanda Prince-Lubawy trained in classical ballet and modern dance under the teachings of Pamela Hayes, Loretta Livingston, Donald McKayle and Yvonne Rainer. She received her BFA in Dance/Performance from UC Irvine with Honors and her MA in Dance Theatre from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Amanda has been a key performer to bring dance into the visual arts scene in London and Germany at art institutions such as Chisenhale Gallery, Hayward Gallery, Raven Row, Tate Modern, White Cube, and Haus der Kunst and K20. She helped coordinate and conceive contemporary dance works with Xavier LeRoy, Eddie Peake, Yvonne Rainer, Tino Sehgal and Mårten Spångberg. Currently residing in Sacramento, Amanda further pursues her dance career locally, most recently directing and choreographing "rolling on the riverfront" for TBD Fest, 2015; "Recreations of the Trefoil Knot/ Donuts" and "I heart Bruce Nauman" as part of Art Hotel/Street by M5Arts, 2016/2017; "Trio A w/Flag", UCI 2016; and "Dance of the Seven Veils" at Red Museum, 2017. Performing within culturally stimulating visual arts spaces where there maintains close proximity to the audience continues to be her main dance interest.
