Introduction We are vagabonds by choice. Born with short attention spans, a nomadic lifestyle satisfies our wanderlust. In the eighties, Sarah transited the Panama Canal in a 30' sailboat. Next, she bought a Swan sailboat in France, crossed the Atlantic, and cruised the Caribbean. On a parallel path, Darrell, an avid mountaineer and ice climber, followed his heart's desire flying small planes around the South Pacific for 3 years. Our marriage vows included a pledge to "walk docks in search of the perfect boat until our topsiders were bare". Seventeen boats and counting later, we are pretty sure the "perfect boat" is an illusion. After sailing San Francisco Bay for years, we hung up our respective, Ph.D and MBA, cast off the dock lines, and set sail to Mexico aboard El Tiburon. Seven years later, we transitioned to the Dark Side. We bought a trawler to cruise the Pacific Coast from Mexico to Alaska. Our shared twin passions for travel and novelty have us shifting between Scrimshaw, Tranquila, our travel trailer, and our home in the Sierra. Our four-legged amigo, Sparky the Vizsla, is happiest running, swimming, and sleeping in the middle.
Interests Cruising to Distant Anchorages, Boondocking in Remote Spots. Quiet Evenings, and Not so Quiet Ones too! Sharing a sunset with people we love. Most of All LAUGHING.
