Introduction As well as doing a PhD in Museum Studies at the University of Leicester, I spend most of my time as a research associate for the Research Centre for Museums and Galleries investigating learning impact and the social role of museums and other cultural institutions. Alongside that I try to have a life. It is exhausting but worth it.
Interests the clash of medieval history and postmodernism, music, walking, melancholy, overcoming my fear of social occasions
Favorite Movies I have a geeky love of science fiction films like Serenity, The Matrix, Dark City, Bladerunner, and Star Wars (though the prologue sucks big time); historical films equally delight and infuriate me although the best is Monty Python's Holy Grail; I can watch anything with Harrison Ford or Rufus Sewell in it and I am also occasionally succumb to fluff like Twilight or the Dark Knight.
Favorite Music Currently stuck in an 80s timewarp mainly listening to Japan, Associates, Comsat Angels, Ultravox pre 1980, John Foxx, Duran Duran, Dead can Dance, Cocteau Twins, Josef K, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, David Sylvian, Bauhaus
Favorite Books Dracula by Bram Stoker, most of Edgar Allan Poe stories and poems of Byron and Shelley

What's the earliest you've gotten up to watch cartoons and what did you see?

I got up once at 7.30 on Sunday to watch the Care Bears cartoon. I was quite young at the time
