Introduction	I am Evyn and Nicky’s mom. I am challenged and rewarded daily; caring for Nicky who has autism, raising my daughter, being a mom & owning a business. Nicky’s diagnosis changed our lives and installed a profound desire in me to serve others. I co-founded a non profit Special Needs Network (a community org. dedicated to helping underserved families). I have participated in training videos & documentaries; “I Am Your Child” with Sylvester Stallone”, Dr. Brazelton’s “Coping with Grief”; Joey Travolta & Keri Bowers “Normal People Scare Me”. I serve on the Board at N.L.A Regional Ctr & I have been working on the CA Dept. of Developmental Services ASD project: developing Guidelines for Effective Interventions. I testified before the Blue Ribbon Senate Commission on Autism and was seated on a task force which developed legislative recommendations to improve supports for people with ASD. I recently accepted an appointment on a CA Senate Committee chaired by Senator Steinberg. My company Transition Music provides music for TV & Film. I’ve been honored with recognition by the City of Los Angeles, featured in the LA Times, Hollywood Reporter, Black Enterprise & Music Connection.
