Introduction Tony Bryant has lived in Torremolinos for more than 25 years. He is the author of five books of Spanish theme, including a trilogy on the art of flamenco. A former rock drummer from South London, he is considered a knowledgeable authority on flamenco and he specialises in the genealogy of the large Gypsy clans that reside in the provinces of Seville and Cádiz. He is affiliated with El Museo del Baile Flamenco, a state- of- the- art flamenco dance museum in Seville, the editorial arm of which published his flamenco trilogy. In 2014, he participated in a flamenco documentary made by the BBC. Since 2015, Tony has worked as a journalist for SUR in English, an English-language newspaper that is part of the Vocento multimedia group. During his time with SUR in English, Tony has interviewed a varied scope of people, including musicians, artists, poets, authors, priests, politicians, actors, historians, charitable organisations and individuals who have done extraordinary things.
