| Introduction | I live in southern Illinois. I am 21 years old. I am a proud mother of a beautiful little girl, she just turned 1! I was doagnosed in February 2010 with Lupus. It has been a rough year for me and for my family. I have been battling symptoms of Lupus at least since September 2009. It has took its toll on my life. I, among with others have endured my fair share of hospitilations, some being longer than others. Although doctors seem to have a hold on it for now, I am still on prednisone, cell cept, and my dear friend plaquenil. I know there are people dealing with lupus out there that are worse off than me. I have missed out on some milestones of my daughters life that I can't get back. Despite these set backs, it has shaped me into a much stronger person, determined to fight the fight. I'd like to thank my family and friends for the great support they have given me and will hope that they continue this strong relationship for eternity. I am going to school for nursing. |
