|Introduction||Hello, I work full time in sales and marketing and have always liked trains and train travel although I am not, and never have been, a train spotter! I was given my first train set for Christmas when I was 7 years old and, over the ensuing years, I amassed quite a collection of Tri-ang Hornby track and rolling stock but never had the room to build a permanent layout. Then, to raise enough money to pay the airfare in order to meet my future wife, I sold the lot to my sister who gave it to my nephews. Years later circumstances changed and my, then, future wife is now my ex-wife and, together with friends and family, I am deeply immersed in building a sizeable railway layout. Since August 2007 we have spent many happy and, often, frustrating hours building and extending the railway to its current size. There is still much to be done until it is complete if, indeed, such a thing is ever considered to be complete! Thank you for stopping by to look at my blog and I hope I can keep you entertained and amused with my ramblings. Please visit www.lakelandrailway.co.uk for a fuller account of the railway and I hope you will stop by again soon.|

Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?
Both, you need to be flexible to expand, just ask my waistband!
