| Introduction | I made the jump from newspaper reporter to a full-time freelance writing career. I enjoy writing, blogging, photography, rockhounding, fishing, hiking, skateboarding (longboard only) and mountain biking. I also write for a few other websites that are in various stages of growth. Politics? The workings of our local and state government interest me, especially in this new crazy conservative-dominated political landscape. "Keeping Public Lands Public" is my hot-button topic and our Idaho Republican party has been pushing that button since 2014. Republicans accuse me of "stolen valor" but they know nothing about me. Weird. Know this: Mainly country music but alternative rock still holds my interest, Mexican food, mountain biking, the mountains, blue skies, turquoise water, hiking, and summer.
