| Introduction | Hello! My name is Shane and I'm a 23 year old female, born and raised in San Francisco, CA. I graduated from UC San Diego in the summer of 2010 with a B.S. in Human Biology and a minor in History. Inspired and encouraged by my dad and the memories of my sister and mom, I have always made traveling a top priority. I have brought my love for science and travel together by being a part of research projects around the globe at locations such as UC San Diego, the University of Zurich in Switzerland, and the AIDS Ward at San Francisco General Hospital.
